Tall, fantastical figures will dot the Pinecrest Gardens landscape when artist-filmmaker Philip Haas’ Four Seasons takes up residence Nov. 16-April 6. Based on 16th century portraits by Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, each of four 15-foot-tall sculptures represents a different season, allowing visitors to explore the large-scale works in three dimensions. Haas, who is overseeing installation of the exhibit, said in a statement, “I started the Four Seasons wanting to bring Arcimboldo’s Renaissance painted nature imagery into the 21st century physical world.
